How many treatments will I need? Most clients need a minimum of 5 to 10 treatment for complete tattoo removal and 3 to 4 treatments for fading. Lone Star Tattoo Removal uses a variety of factors to best determine the number of treatments your unique tattoo will need. These factors include tattoo age, tattoo size, tattoo location, patient skin type, pre-existing scarring, ink density, ink depth, professional vs. amateur tattoo, and patient health.

How long is a laser tattoo removal treatment?Laser tattoo removal is a very fast procedure, especially compared to tattoo application. Depending on the size of the tattoo being treated, a single laser session can last anywhere from a few seconds to 15 minutes. Larger tattoos like full arm, back, or chest pieces will be treated in sections.
-
When will I see results? Our Astanza Trinity is designed to eliminate more ink with each session, speeding up the natural fading process and reducing the number of treatments needed compared to other lasers. That being said, most clients will see significant fading within the first to third treatment. A minimum of 6 to 8 weeks is required between each laser session to give your skin enough time to heal. Clients can combine the 6 to 8 week healing period with the number of treatments their tattoo will need to estimate when their desired look will be achieved.

What kind of discounts or pricing packages do you have?Promotional discounts are held several times throughout the year. Check social media routinely for announcements. Combination discounts for multiple tattoos have the most savings of any discount we offer. Ask to get a quote. Package discounts are offered to clients who pay up front for multiple sessions.

This noninvasive technology emits freezing cold air before, during, and after your treatment, delivering maximum comfort throughout the entirety of your visit. Does it work on all skin tones?Laser tattoo removal targets the pigment in the ink, rather than the natural skin color. This means that it can be effective on various skin tones. However, the effectiveness can vary depending on the color and type of ink used in the tattoo.
-
Can I shower after the procedure?Yes, you can shower on the same day as your laser tattoo removal session. However, it’s important to be gentle while cleaning the treated area. Avoid using hot water and opt for lukewarm water instead. Also, refrain from scrubbing the area to prevent irritation.
-
Is laser tattoo removal dangerous? Are there side effects?Laser tattoo removal is the safest method for removing or fading unwanted tattoos. We use FDA-approved laser technology that is backed by Astanza, the industry’s leader for tattoo removal technology. This procedure is noninvasive and nonsurgical, eliminating any risks of scarring. Our certified laser technician received expert training from New Look Laser College, the world’s leading tattoo removal training program, and is a Certified Laser Specialist (CLS) and Laser Safety Officer (LSO). Lone Star Tattoo Removal uses custom protocols based on your unique tattoo and skin type to deliver the safest, most effective results. Clients may experience temporary redness, itchiness, swelling, blistering, scabbing, and/or pigmentation changes. These side effects indicate your immune system is removing the unwanted ink from your skin and will heal over the 6 to 8-week period between treatment sessions. As long as proper aftercare is applied after each treatment, your skin will heal flawlessly without any scarring.

Do you use a ‘Pico’ laser? No, we do not use a Pico laser for tattoo removal. While Pico lasers are often marketed as being more effective, the difference in efficacy is generally marginal. What’s more significant is the cost factor. Pico lasers tend to be more expensive, not just in terms of the equipment but also the per-session cost for the client. By the time the treatment is completed, the overall expense can be considerably higher compared to using other types of lasers, like the Q-switch Nd:YAG laser, which offers reliable results at a more affordable price point.
